BASE addresses the needs of the older employees to adapt to the market's new requirements. The approach concentrates on demonstrating and exploiting the "capital" of these employees (experience and specific skills), in favor of them and of the employers as well.
BASE will move towards development and experimentation of an innovative, coherent mechanism (learning tools, work design and organization methods, supporting structures and networking, strategic planning tools), that will enable all actors involved to effectively manage active ageing and raise older employees' employability. It focuses on 6 territories of 5 countries, as well as on 2 key-sectors with regard to the problem in hand.
Transnationality is essential, while allowing identification and exchange of best practices, adding exceptional know-how and securing rational testing and wide dissemination of the outputs.
